Introduction
We have been producing and wholesaling tea since the company was founded in 1881 in Makinohara City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the leading tea production area in Japan.
Products
We produce delicious, safe tea by working together with contract farmers to prepare the soil and create tea fields in and around Shizuoka Prefecture, which has the most tea fields by surface area in Japan. We produce a wide variety of teas including green tea, powdered tea, matcha powdered tea, roasted green tea (hojicha), and flavored teas, and have a system that can handle a variety of orders from small to large lots.
Certification and awards history
We were awarded a prize in the Metropolitan Flavor Division at the 1996 Tokyo Metropolitan Fine Tea Competition. We also employ strict quality control that includes radiation, bacteria, and composition inspections.
Domestic results and exports:
In Japan we have shipped for many years to large supermarkets and also sell wholesale to over 60 retail tea shops.
